New 2024 Isuzu D-Max launched

Since its debut in 2021, the third-generation Isuzu D-Max has epitomized the term Ryoga – Japanese for rising above others and achieving greatness. With some 340,000 units sold around the world, the Isuzu D-Max has been one of the fastest-growing pick-up trucks around thanks to the superiority of its design, excellent features and cutting-edge safety. The New 2024 Isuzu D-Max introduced today raises the ante with snazzy new looks and enhanced high-tech features aimed to further raise the bar.

Speaking at the launch of the new model, Shunsuke Okazoe, CEO of Isuzu Malaysia said that the refreshed model comes with design elements that not only gives it greater road presence, the new features of the truck ensure The New Isuzu D-Max remains at the top of its game.

“Since its introduction, the third-generation Isuzu D-Max has been the toast of the industry, optimising a balance of classic Isuzu core strengths, technological advancements and detailed craftsmanship. This new model takes it up a notch and delivers the next level of pick-up truck motoring to its owners,” said Okazoe.

The New 2024 Isuzu D-Max represents much more than a seasonal cosmetic update. Numerous changes particularly to the front and rear design elements, wheels and interior have been given attention to provide the vehicle with fresh appeal.

The entire front end receives a new treatment including a new headlight cluster, bumpers, grille and bonnet. Much of these focus on giving The New Isuzu D-Max a more stylish appearance while improving on aerodynamics.

Stylish new alloy rims, a revised tailgate (that’s lockable on the X-Terrain), and attractive combination tail lamp design combine to add to its dynamic new looks.

Inside too, The New Isuzu D-Max receives a host of updates with the flagship D-Max X-Terrain enjoying such new features as a 10” infotainment system, new leather seats, classic Japanese origami Miura design elements and mood-enriching ambient lighting to name a few. The flagship D-Max X-Terrain has already proven to be one of the safest trucks on the market with its complete suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features coupled to an ASEAN NCAP 5-star safety rated base. The new model takes it even further with a new stereo camera that boasts a wider 120° view. This allows the system to detect and recognize a greater number of objects including child pedestrians and provide quicker and more accurate reactions.

Driveability has also improved through the new Rough Terrain Mode feature available in all 4x4 Double Cab models. With the mode activated, be it in 2H, 4H or 4L, traction is enhanced with the vehicle managing power distribution seamlessly. This feature allows those less familiar with off-road driving to venture onto rugged terrain with greater confidence.

To bring the benefits of Isuzu D-Max ownership closer to customers, Isuzu Malaysia is embarking on a new digital platform that will enhance the customer’s purchase journey.

This includes a starting point where prospects are able to employ Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) to discover the features and prowess of the vehicle without even stepping into them.

“We believe that prospects will discover much more through the use of today’s digital technology. This allows us to showcase the capabilities of the vehicle anywhere and anytime, be it in homes or in a mall.

“This is part of the new elevated Isuzu Experience that includes revised outlets that feature our new Corporate Identity, intuitive new website including a 360° virtual showroom, a new and immersive roadshow setup, and new AR and VR experience,” said Chief Operating Officer Kenkichi Sogo.

To share the Isuzu Experience with prospective buyers, Isuzu Malaysia is conducting a nationwide launch of The New Isuzu D-Max at all its dealerships where those who come to experience the VR or physical test drive of The New Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain between May 15th and June 30th 2024 will receive an exclusive gift.

Prices of The New Isuzu D-Max range starts from RM98,949.20 for the 1.9-litre Single Cab while the flagship X-Terrain is priced at RM157,938.40 on the road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia.
